Ann Shelton is my name and I am a Christian mother of five with eight grandchildren at the present. I was born and raised in the Marshall Islands. I came to the United States as a sponsored high school student. After graduating from high school, I attended Defiance College where I received a BS Degree in Comprehensive Social Studies, Secondary Education. I am currently enrolled at Washtenaw Community College pursuing an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education after receiving a CDA in 2007.
Working with preschoolers for the last fifteen years has been both a rewarding and enriching experience. I have come to believe that all children can learn with each child learning differently and at a different rate, what works for one child may not work with another, but all children need stimulating experiences. Children’s Creative Learning Center recognizes this and offers opportunities for me to interact with children in this multicultural environment, and I am proud to be a part of this caring team that takes into account the “whole child”.
