At Children’s Creative Learning Center, we feel that the most important aspect of our curriculum is our staff who positively impact your child each day. The following curriculum programs and methods are used in conjunction with staff experience, interests and skills to provide the most powerful early learning experience.
Creative Curriculum meets children’s continuous developmental needs from infancy through kindergarten. It’s a research based program that targets social/emotional, language, physical, cognitive development through purposeful and creative play. It also engages the children in active learning by using themes that appeal to their specific interests. Ongoing assessments are used to design each child’s day.
Zoo Phonics uses a multi-sensory approach to teach phonemic awareness and early reading and writing skills. It acts as a spring board for math, art, music, nutrition, social studies, science, physical education and drama. A strong early literacy foundation is established using this program.
HANDWRITING WITHOUT TEARS
HWT focuses on writing, language, literacy, numbers and math. Difficult concepts are broken down into simple tasks in a fun and friendly way. Fine motor skill development is promoted using a variety of exciting techniques.
Everyday Math builds on what children already know and how they naturally learn. In addition to basic skills and conceptual thinking, problem solving strategies are taught and reinforced using this hand on approach.
CHINESE AS A SECOND LANGUAGE
Children over 2 ½ years old will learn about Chinese culture, cooking, crafts, history, traditions, music and art. They will also learn to listen, write and speak in Mandarin Chinese.
